Phew! We are here, we are settled. I am writing to you from a log cabin in the Maine mountains, that same one from a few years ago. While it feels like a glorious exhale, and especially nice to get away from the coast for the summer (tooooo many people!), the move was hard. Time consuming, stressful, bruised legs and cats yowling the whole drive.
But now we are here, soaking up all the quiet, watching fox and red tailed hawks from our deck, reading and making art. We will be here until the autumn, and I plan to savor every sun-dappled moment.
And amidst the piles of cardboard boxes and endless cleaning of cobwebs, I have finally gotten this surprise collection ready for you!
As a newsletter subscriber, you get a bit of a heads up so you can be ready to catch a piece right when the collection drops. I will also announce the release on Instagram once everything has already floated onto the shop shelves.
There will be sparkling, liquid teal kyanites fit for a saltwater mermaid. There will be opals, ethereal and effervescent with color, like a silky fairy wing. And even a few tanzanite necklaces, including two big showstopper gemstones that I bought from a gem shop over a decade ago and have been hanging onto ever since.
There will also be a few repeat designs (opal and kyanite rings) for those who missed them the first go around.
So without further ado!
Constants Necklace: Teal + Bicolor Kyanite
There will be 24 necklaces available.
Suspended from a delicate whisper chains, adjustable from 15″ – 18″.
Price: $95 – $130
(Price is dependent on size/cost of the gemstone.)
A necklace that calls out for summer sunshine from above a mermaid’s heart.
These necklaces are made from beautiful, oceanic hues of kyanite: teal and minty green, some splashes of blue rushing through.
For the darker stones and larger stones, I sawed windows from the backs of the pendants to let the light shine through when you hold them up. The smaller stones have closed backs, allowing the shine of the silver so bounce light up through them.
I have made these necklaces on chains that are shorter than my usual chains, designed to be worn high or layered with other longer necklaces.
Given a high polish to accent the sparkle of the stone, so that it looks like it was plucked from sun dappled water.

Of course more rings!
There were a handful of people who reached out because they missed the teal kyanite rings the first time around.
I didn’t want to leave those mermaids hanging, especially here at the height of summer.
Sparkling gems for summer mermaids and sun-drenched beaches.
Light being tossed from every facet, skittering and dancing as atop the ocean.
Kyanite Cluster Necklace
There will be 45 necklaces available.
Suspended from a delicate whisper chains, adjustable from 15″ – 18″.
Petite kyanites range between 8mm – 13mm
Price: $145
And here, a beautiful twirling cluster of teal kyanite gemstones to accompany you to the seaside or to an enchanted forest pool.
I chose smaller kyanites to make for a still light, breezy necklace.
They are designed so that the stones tinkle and twirl against one another.
However, if you’d like the drop pendants to be a bit more separate, I do have some sterling spacer beads that I can put between them on the chain. If you’d like them to be spaced, just leave a note when you checkout!
As with the rest of the necklaces, I have made these necklaces on chains that are shorter than usual, designed to be worn high or layered with other longer necklaces.

Goodness gracious, I don’t know how other jewelers photograph opal. I tried to photograph these in full sunshine to capture their sparkle, but it was tough going to share their sparkle.
I think it takes a very specific brightness of light, at a very specific angle. And since I work with natural light to dry to get the color as accurate as possible, getting the perfect light was tough going.
Just know that these are all more dynamic and colorful in real life, I just don’t know how to show them off to their best advantage.
Another handful of opal rings for you woodland pixies! Some are opaque and milky, a bit of glittery rainbow dust sprinkled throughout.
Others are watery and glowing, with a flash of green or pink or blue that flares over the whole stone at the right angle.
Some are faceted, others are smooth, and cut in as many shapes as I could find!
Constant Necklace: Opal
There will be six necklaces available.
Suspended from a delicate whisper chains, adjustable from 15″ – 18″.
Price: $110 – $120
(Price is dependent on size/cost of the gemstone.)
And a very small handful of opal necklaces!
Stones made of fairy dust and enchanted pools.
Some have a uniform colorplay, blue shimmering across the top of the entire stone. And others have a sprinkle of rainbow glitter.
They have closed backs and were polished to accent the stone.
(This one is my favorite, because there is an inclusion in the bottom of the stone, a cluster of some other mineral formed inside, that to me looks like a sweet little frog sitting at the bottom of a sparkling magical pool.)
Constant Necklace: Tanzanite
There will be 13 necklaces available.
Suspended from a delicate whisper chains, adjustable from 15″ – 18″.
Price: $105 – $175
(Price is dependent on size/cost of the gemstone.)
I tried my best to make some tanzanite necklaces for you, to match all the rings from the past year. But I looked in ever box, every drawer, every corner of ever gem cabinet I have, which I know to be true because I had to pack up my entire studio to move and I looked EVERYWHERE.
And these were the only tanzanites that are large enough for a necklace that I have left.
I have truly exhausted my collection inherited from a gem cutter many years ago.
But here is what I was able to make for you, eleven petite little necklaces in varying cut shapes, colors, and clarity. All with surface crackles and fissures, organic and natural.
And there are also two showstopper tanzanites, both over an inch from top to bottom. These two were tucked in a old brass jewelry box, being saved for some forgotten project. But now, they are simply set and ready to be yours. Smooth and serene, bold and gorgeous.
As with the other necklaces in this offering, the smaller tanzanite necklaces are on delicate whisper chains. But the two large pendants I have suspended from my usual sterling silver cable chain, so that they are more sturdy.
Do keep in mind that kyanite and tanzanite are both very crackly stones and some, if not most, have surface quirks. Some have surface fissures, pits, and crackles where the inner textures touch the surface. They are very organic and crystalline, which I think adds to their charm.
And that’s everything! Since you’re a newsletter subscriber or blog reader, you have advance notice of this drop. I will announce on Instagram when they are all already in the shop.
But if you’d like to catch something, you will have a head start because you can already be in the shop when they appear!
